Who we are
Our family has been coming to Pissouri for over 40 years - it’s our home-from-home. What keeps drawing us back? The friendly locals, the laid-back Mediterranean pace, and that perfect balance of sunshine and sea breeze. Over time, we’ve come to know and love the rhythms of village life here, and we genuinely enjoy sharing that experience with others.
Why We Built Margarita Villa
Pissouri sits on a hilltop just two miles from the beach - close enough for a quick swim, yet high enough to catch cool breezes during the hot summer months. The village itself is just a five-minute stroll from the villa and has everything we love: a picturesque square, welcoming tavernas, and the kind of warm community vibe you don’t find just anywhere.
What Makes Margarita Villa Special
Margarita Villa is full of homely charm and thoughtful design. The villa was created by the former chief architect of Paphos and is built across three levels of an old vineyard. This gives the house a unique, layered layout that feels comfortable whether you're a couple looking for peace and privacy, or a larger group needing space to spread out.
The third bedroom suite is tucked away with its own sitting area, kitchenette, and private terrace - perfect for guests who want their own corner of calm. All levels of the villa offer beautiful views toward the sea, and the surrounding garden is something we’re incredibly proud of. Think: bright bougainvillea, citrus trees heavy with lemons and tangerines, and a peaceful, paved courtyard that invites long, lazy breakfasts and late evening chats.
We also bought the fields in front of the villa more than 20 years ago to protect the view so nothing will ever be built to block those sweeping sights of the coastline.
Why Pissouri Still Has Our Hearts
Pissouri is full of personality. The local people are warm, generous, and genuinely welcoming. Many speak excellent English, but don’t be shy to try out a few Greek phrases - they love it when you do! The tavernas each have their own style, often family-run, and they serve up delicious, fresh dishes with local ingredients. Village salads, fried halloumi, and a perfectly chilled Brandy Sour? Yes, please.
Margarita Villa is more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to feel at home. We hope you’ll fall in love with Pissouri just like we did.
